Warm reception: Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal being welcomed at the Krishnapatnam Port on Monday.

Calling for a fillip to infrastructure development, Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal said the development of ports along with roads and railways would help boost economic growth in the country to a larger extent.

During his visit to the Krishnapatnam port in Muthukur coastal area here on Monday, Mr. Meghwal said this port had acquired high technological expertise which was necessary to strengthen the export-import trade with other countries in the long run.

“This port had played a key role in expanding the exim trade with many countries. It emerged as a forward-looking port by developing the best infrastructure,” he added.
