Giving details of the system here on Tuesday, District Informatics Officer P. Mohan Krishna said that SMS alerts were received when the poll officials and election material reached the respective polling stations and the same was updated online through the GIS portal.

Details pertaining to commencement of mock polling, starting of poll proceedings, polling percentage will be updated online in every two hours and any disruption of polling process would be updated on the GIS portal by the booth-level officers, sectoral officers and returning officers through their cell phones.
