It was an ordeal for a 95-year-old woman who was taken out of the house by her son and left in the open four days ago.

Kanduru Ramalakshmamma had been lying on the bare floor outside her son’s house on the Sarvepalli canal bund here in the scorching heat. When the neighbours questioned her son, who is a lab technician at B.V. Nagar here, why he was torturing his mother, he warned them against any interference.

On receiving information, the Balajinagar police reached the spot and arranged a cot and a fan for the old woman.

When questioned, the family members tried to give explanation, but the police warned them against ill treating her or else a case would be lodged against them. After her husband’s death, Ms. Ramalakshmamma had been staying with her three sons in turns, each keeping her for three months.

She went to her third son’s house only ten days ago.

One mother looked after 3 sons and now all three are not able to look after one mother. The long term solution is the education system has to be changes, adding moral and spiritual lessons. Islam says the your haven lies under your mothers feet, you cannot even say “oof” to your parents. Instant solution may be many but as we shall also see a permanent solution.

such people are plenty in India. This old lady is on the street. Many people put them in jail like isolated room or place. They are not exposed at all. Such people see their end there itself. Is there any law insisting all children to restrict their inhuman behavior?

I would like to know if anything can be done by me for helping
Ramalakshmamma. An old age home would be a better option for this lady
than the inhuman treatment meted out to her. I will gladly pay for the
same. Kindly tell me who I can contact for the same.

Pathetic!! Sad!!

Human values are thrown out of the house. Unbearable!!

he will recieve the same from his son, only then
will he realise the pain inflicted by him on his own mother.

moral obligations value is denegrating fast towards zero.
curse to capitalism which keeps money before social values.

capitalism will pay back its evil effect in future. The west is a clear set example over this.

I am really shocked to read the news and unable to understand how a son can think and dare to ill-treat his mother who would have spent sleepless nights bringing up the same son when he was a kid. How that son can be so cruel and forget that she is the one who has given birth to him.Shame on such sons who cannot take care of their parents.

Really Shocked!!!

A country where our "GRANTHS" describe the mother as equivalent to lord
such incidents degrade our ancient traditional concept.Things are
changing towards wrong directions. As we are becoming more modern more
we are losing our values.

Shows that the young has forgotten soon they will be old. They should not be warned instead punished So that the old people in the society to be safe.
Please understand my friends parents are in their second childhood, they are the one who helped and brought us up. So spend your time and have patience and help them lead their old age peacefully.

How much can a human being fall for achieving his materialistic desires.
This also is the result of our capitalist economic system, where
fulfilling of the material desires is of utmost desires and the moral
values and ethics can be happily thrown into dustbin.
