Jupudi Prabhakara Rao, Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Scheduled Castes Co-operative Finance Corporation Limited (APSCCFCL), on Wednesday said that over 15,000 individuals were identified for extension of benefit through various loans and employment schemes by March next.

“We have chalked out a plan to encourage SC individuals to ensure promised income through various options including sanctioning of 250 bulldozers each worth ₹30 lakh and 100 poclainers each worth of ₹80 lakh. The plan is to help the individuals to become small entrepreneurs,” said Mr. Prabhakara Rao.

He reviewed the implementation of various schemes of the corporation in Krishna district for which it had allocated ₹281 crore for the financial year 2017-18. “Of the identified 15,000 individual beneficiaries, 13,941 will get financial and other support from the corporation by the end of December. The Krishna district officials have been directed to create awareness about the initiatives of the corporation,” Mr. Prabhakara Rao said.
