The re-examination for PGMET, the entrance examination for admission into PG medical courses in Andhra Pradesh, was conducted peacefully across the State on Sunday. The results and the schedule for counselling are likely to be declared in the first week of May, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Registrar S. Babulal said.
Out of 15,194 students who applied for the re-examination, 13,417 students attended the examination, said Registrar of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences S. Babulal.
The examination was held in 24 centres across the State for 2,240 PG seats in various government and private colleges.
Kranti Kumar of AP Junior Doctors Association told The Hindu that the paper was easier than the earlier one but was on the tougher side when compared to the PGMET standards.
The original examination was held on March 2 and the results were declared on March 15. But a re-examination was conducted following the PGMET scam.
