Even as the news of the launch of actor Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party is sinking into the minds of people from different sections of society, snippets about his book titled ‘ISM’ are being heard, rather ‘leaked’ to the media.
The latest leak from the Pawan camp says the party will celebrate only Independence Day and Republic Day, apart from the formation days of Telangana and the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh.
Occasions like birthdays of leaders, cultural and religious festivals will not be celebrated on the contention that they were all exploited for political gains. For the past fortnight, the book has been spoken about alongside versions about how his party, his flag, the symbol and a score of other details would be.
Even a day before March 14 when the party was launched in movie-like fashion, whispers were heard that a book authored by Mr. Kalyan and Raju Ravitej, party’s secretary, a writer himself, would be launched in about a week.
Work on the book, said to be a part of the socio-political agenda of the party, began six years ago and continuously revised and refined, according to Mr. Ravitej.
The book has a dozen chapters. Does it have plans for ‘roti, kapada aur makaan’ (food, clothing and shelter), solutions for education, healthcare, creation of jobs, entrepreneurial support, industrial and infrastructure development and the like?
“No. It does not contain our party policy on the said issues. Our book is a dedicated record of ideology and idealism for JSP and society in general. We will release party policy later which will contain our stand on different issues,” he said.
It is now being said the book will take a few more days, with party sources saying it would be released soon.
