March 21, 2014 03:10 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 07:20 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Actor and founder of Jana Sena Party Pawan Kalyan on Thursday evening boarded a flight to Ahmedabad for a meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi that is said to be scheduled for Friday afternoon.

Initially, it was said the party secretary, Raju Ravitej, would also join the party president. However, sources said it would be a one-to-one meeting with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate. During the meeting, Mr. Kalyan would be seeking as to how exactly the BJP would develop Andhra Pradesh and Telangana once if it comes to power.

He would also stress on what kind of solution the BJP would come up with on sharing of Krishna and Godavari waters and how it would prevent water wars in the two States, considering AP was downstream. Of prime focus would be security of women, considering the increasing number of instances of violence against the ‘fairer sex’ in recent times and about how the Nirbhaya Act could be implemented better.

Also of interest to the actor-politician was the question of employment generation, imparting vocational training and skills upgradation for youth.
