Pastors condemn evangelism at Tirumala

October 30, 2014 10:59 pm | Updated May 23, 2016 06:58 pm IST - ONGOLE:

The Ongole Denomination of Churches Union on Thursday condemned the proselytisation activities carried out by a Christian missionary at Tirumala.

Taking a series view of the “objectionable” content put on YouTube, its president Rev. Dr. K. Joseph termed it incorrect to carry on religious propagation by belittling other religions. “This is very much against the tenets of Christianty,” ODCU secretary D.V. Krupakar said. The members of the community peacefully coexist with others and contribute to the development of the nation by running educational institutions and hospitals for centuries, said its treasurer D. Samson.

Br. K. Samrat of Good News Ministries said: “It is time for members of all religious communities to maintain communal harmony. Heads of religious institutions should not precipitate matters.”
