Over 2.5 lakh students are expected to take the Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET-2015) scheduled for May 10. The test will be conducted at 407 centres in the State.
The notification will be issued on March 3, and there are no changes to the examination pattern.
Students seeking admission to engineering courses will have to answer questions for 160 marks, which includes 80 marks for Mathematics and 40 marks each for Physics and Chemistry.
Those who seek admission to agriculture and medical courses will have to answer questions for 40 marks each from Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry.
“Students from Telangana can also appear for the test and avail the 15 per cent open seats based on the roaster. The region of study for four years from standard VI to Intermediate will decide the local status of students,” said Ch. Saibabu, convener of EAMCET-2015.
Mr. Saibabu said students who were at present residing in Telangana, but had studied for four years in Andhra/Rayalaseema would be considered as locals in AP.
