The twenty-four-hour long ordeal of the two hapless girls Deepa and Lakshmi who were abandoned by their father at Tirumala on Friday has come to an end with the Thirumala Town police tracing their mother at her native village in Karnataka.

Based on information provided in bits and pieces by the girls, the police located the address of their mother Suma and informed her about the incident. She was asked to come to Tirumala to identify the girls.

It was a tearful reunion for the mother and the girls who were handed over to Suma after the completion of the formalities.
