Only special package will not suffice: Subba Reddy

The YSR Congress will not rest till the Centre fulfils its promise made on the floor of Parliament to accord special category status at the time of bifurcation, YSRC Whip in Parliament Y.V. Subba Reddy has said.

Addressing the YSRC leaders who launched a relay-fast here on Thursday, Mr. Subba Reddy said that the Centre was trying to "mislead the people of the State saying that its immediate priority was to sanction ‘special projects to Andhra Pradesh rather than the special category status (SCS).

The status alone could reap a long-term benefit to the State.
