Labour Minister K. Atchannaidu on Saturday formally launched the online registration of vehicles to ensure hassle free registration facility for buyers.

He said it was a great achievement for the Transport Department since it would help buyers to complete the registration process quickly in a transparent manner.

He felt that corruption and involvement of middlemen would get reduced to a large extent. He handed over the certificate to the buyer of a vehicle Rugada Krishna Murthy.

Srikakulam MP Kinjarapu Rammohan and Srikakulam MLA Gunda Lakshmi Devi thanked the Transport Department for launching the facility in Srikakulam for the first time in North Andhra region.

Deputy Transport Commissioner S. Venkateswara Rao said that online facility would be extended to other areas within no time as software had been ready to introduce the facility in all the offices.
