ONGC engineer killed in mishap at drilling point

A chief engineer of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) was reportedly killed and three others sustained grievous wounds in an accident at one of its drilling locations at Nagendrapuram near Bhimavaram in West Godavari district on Tuesday.

The engineer was identified as Manohar Das (49). The injured persons were shifted to a hospital in Narsapur and their condition was stated to be out of danger. The chief engineer was said to have sustained a head injury during the accident leading to his death on the sport. The exact cause of the accident was yet to be established. Entry for outsiders, including media personnel, to the accident was restricted by the ONGC authorities.
