A. Giridhar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, on Wednesday directed all district and mandal-level officials to extensively tour villages and interact with people to solve their problems. The officer held a review meeting on various developmental works in the Kuppam Assembly constituency, represented by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

He sought information from officials about the progress of initiatives such as Janmabhumi and rural water works and drought conditions in the district, with particular reference to Kuppam area. Taking serious objection to officials neglecting visits to rural areas, he told them to compulsorily maintain a time-frame in solving people’s problems.

Mr. Giridhar instructed rural water works staff to address drinking water issues in the constituency on a war footing. He also inquired about shortage of fodder in the area.

District Collector Siddarth Jain and Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA) Special Officer Priyanka attended the meeting.
