‘Good Governance’ was when a common man felt comfortable approaching a government official to get his problems solved, said former Inspector General of Police (Andhra Pradesh) G. Ramachandra Reddy.

Delivering a special lecture on the topic ‘Good Governance is the order of the day-Universal Phenomenon,’ organised by the Madabhushi Ananthasayanam Institute of Public Affairs (MAIPA) here on Wednesday, Mr. Reddy said that competent public authorities who discharged their duties effectively and addressed the issues faced by the common man would portray the essential component of good governance.

Mr. Reddy further linked the aspects of good governance to politics and said that a clean political system would help in achieving the results.

Later, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP) Registrar C. Umashankar spoke on the topic ‘Good Governance through E-Governance,’ including various classifications and components of e-governance. He stressed on the need for incorporating innovative practices / methodologies for improving the e-governance activities.
