NTR Trust has decided to offer coaching to poor students aspiring to attend competitive examinations.
The trust will provide free coaching to aspirants preparing for the Group I and II examinations, Central services and banking examinations. It will take up the programme on a pilot basis for 60 students this year and the project would be extended to cover more aspirants in phases.
NTR Trust trustee and TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s daughter-in-law Nara Brahmani visited the skill development centre located on the trust premises on Friday.
She expressed concern that aspirants from lower income groups and poor families were unable to bear costs of coaching for competitive examinations.
The trust had, therefore, decided to conduct free coaching classes for these sections utilising the services of experts and reputed teachers for training the aspirants.
The trust had been running NTR Model Schools in different parts of the two Telugu speaking States since 2005 imparting education to thousands of students hailing from poorer sections.
The NTR Trust was also contemplating organising skill development training to the children of the TDP cadre hailing from the weaker sections to prepare them for the competitive examinations, she said adding it was proposed to start new model schools at Warangal and Vijayawada soon.
The NTR Trust had resolved to set up model schools in all the districts of the two Telugu speaking States.
NTR Trust CEO Mohan Rao said aspirants interested in taking free coaching could register their names online on the Trust portalhttp://bit.ly/ ntrtcompetitiveexamtill November 25.
