The family members of missing mountaineer Malli Masthan Babu have not received any information about the progress of search operations for him in the Chile mountain range in South America. Chinna Masthanaiah, brother of Masthan Babu, said: “Till now, we have no information about my brother. We hope he will be rescued soon.” Those who had accompanied Babu on the expedition have mobilised support for the search operation. Masthanaiah said the family would make another representation to the State and Central governments seeking intensified search for the mountaineer.
