Minister for Medical Education Kondru Murali Mohan has made it clear that the fee for EAMCET convenor quota in MBBS seats is not being enhanced as alleged in some quarters.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, he said the PG medical seats, both in government and private colleges, would be filled only after the Supreme Court gives its judgment on whether the State should follow the results of NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) or the AP PG test.
Deputy Chief Minister C. Damodar Rajanarasimha, who holds the Higher Education portfolio, said the fee for private engineering colleges would be decided by Admission & Fee Regulation Committee based on the infrastructure and faculty facilities they were having.
He said the report of the State level Task Force team on these facilities in these institutions, would soon be submitted to the High Court as sought by the latter.
Lacking in facilities
Individual task force teams, during their inspections, found many private engineering colleges lacking these facilities in violation of the norms prescribed by the All-India Council for Technical Education.
