Newly-elected MLCs of TS, AP take oath

Six newly-elected MLCs, two from Telangana and four from Andhra Pradesh, were administered oath by of office by the respective chairmen of the two Legislative Councils here on Monday.

Palla Rajeshwar Reddy (TRS) and N. Ramchander Rao (BJP), representing the Graduate Constituencies of Nalgonda-Khammam-Warangal and Hyderabad-Ranga Reddy-Mahabubnagar, respectively were administered oath of office by Telangana Council Chairman K. Swamy Goud in his office.

The two MLCs fill the vacancies caused by K. Dileep Kumar and Prof K. Nageshwar, whose six-year term ended on Sunday. Speaking after taking oath the new MLCs thanked the graduates who supported them in winning the election. Mr. Rajeshwar Reddy said that he would highlight the problems of unemployed graduates in the Council, particularly filling of vacancies by the Government.

Meanwhile, AP Council Chairman A. Chakrapani administered the oath office to V.V.V. Chowdary (TDP), P. Subhash Chandra Bose and K. Veerabhadraswamy (both YSR Congress - MLAs Quota) and A.S. Ramakrishna (Teachers' Constituency) in his chambers.
