New desposit schemes for women

Srikakulam District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB), as part of its mission to involve more women in banking, on Friday launched an exclusive deposit scheme for them, offering an attractive interest rate. Srikakulam DCCB Chairman Dola Jaganmohana Rao and Chief Executive Officer D. Vara Prasad said the bank targeted to achieve Rs. 20 crore in deposits by June 6, 2015.

They added that schemes such as Podupuvalli, Harshavalli and Kalpavalli would offer interest up to 9.75 per cent per annum. They hoped that more women opt for depositing their savings in 20 branches of the bank in the district. DCCB DGM Jyotirmayi, AGMs S. Ramesh and G. Sunil participated in the ‘Deposits Mahotsvam’ .
