Nandigama by-poll counting today

The stage is set for counting of votes in the Nandigama Assembly by-poll at K.V.R. College here on Tuesday. “The counting will commence at 8.a.m. However, final results will be declared after completion of 15 rounds of counting,” Returning Officer Rajanikanta Rao told The Hindu .

As many as 14 counting tables have been arranged for counting of votes at the counting centre, which would be guarded by the police till the announcement of final results.

Mr. Rajanikanta Rao said no request from any political party representative would be entertained to be present inside the counting centre, except those are holding official passes. The strong room, where the electronic voting machines were kept, is under the control of paramilitary forces.
