Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu will address Praja Garjana public meeting in Kadapa municipal stadium on the evening of April 7, said party Rajya Sabha member C.M. Ramesh Naidu on Friday.

The public meeting will expose YSR Congress president and Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy’s dubious stand on bifurcation of the State and corruption charges being faced by him, he told a press conference at the district party office here.

He called upon the party leaders and activists to strive for making Mr. Naidu’s meeting a success. The TDP is forging an alliance with the BJP for safeguarding national integrity as the country was in difficult situation, he said.

Replying to a query, he said no party would deliberately encourage communal disturbances and added that the Supreme Court had ruled that BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is not involved in the Godhra carnage. The BJP is seeking allotment of one Assembly constituency to it in Kadapa district and the TDP would declare its candidates considering it, he said.

‘YSRC losing ground’

Alleging the involvement of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s family members and his close aide K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao in the titanium deal, the MP said YSRC is losing hold among people.

In addition to the party manifesto, the party would promise completion of Galeru Nagari project, setting up of at least one mineral-based industry in each Assembly constituency to generate employment in Kadapa district, Mr. Ramesh Naidu said.

Jagan has links with red sander smugglers

He accused Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy of having links with red sander smugglers.

Asked why the TDP gave Sambepalle ZPTC ticket to Reddy Narayana, who imprisoned under the Preventive Detention Act on charges of red sander smuggling, the MP said the Congress Government foisted a case on him as he was a TDP sympathiser.

TDP district president and former Proddatur MLA M. Linga Reddy, party State secretary S. Goverdhan Reddy, former Minister S.A. Khaleel Basha, State Minority Cell president Ameer Babu, TDP Kadapa city president K. Balakrishna Yadav, former municipal chairman S. Harindranath and party leaders C. Sasi Kumar and S. Jilani Basha participated.
