Seeks all-party meet

September 27, 2012 09:29 am | Updated November 17, 2021 04:23 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday night finally wrote to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh seeking immediate resolution of the Telangana issue by calling an all-party meeting.

The letter which was preceded by over three-hour-long consultations with party colleagues from coastal and Telangana districts at his residence criticized the approach of the Central government in causing enormous harm to the interests of the State.

Mr. Naidu said the State was deteriorating on all fronts over the past few years due to the indecisiveness of the Central government on the issue.

The Congress forged an electoral alliance with the TRS in 2004 elections and won on the plank of separate Telangana but did not take any action on the promise.
