April 20, 2015 12:00 am | Updated December 04, 2021 11:35 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is keen to replicate Shanghai model of power development in the new capital of the State, Amaravathi. This was disclosed on Sunday by Energy Secretary, Ajay Jain, who accompanied the Chief Minister on his six-day tour to China.

With several national and international companies keen to invest in the State, Mr. Naidu directed officials to ensure round-the-clock, quality power supply to industries. There should not be even a 24-second interruption in power supply to industries, Mr. Jain quoted him as saying. During a telephonic interaction with top officials in the power sector, including MD of APTransco, Vijayanand, he said several international companies like Xiaomii, Foxconn and others were interested in setting up their plants in AP.
