Naidu ready with roadmap for kick starting AP development

June 05, 2014 12:15 am | Updated 12:15 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister-designate N. Chandrababu Naidu may not have assumed charge yet, but he has already finalised the road map for rebuilding the State in a series of discussions with officials in the last few days.

“ In 10 days he has done it all,” said a senior official who was part of discussions. He studied each and every sector and zeroed in on plans for implementation. He already indicated to the Centre in his meetings with various ministries and the Prime Minister the support he would expect from it.

Mr. Naidu told the Centre that the State has to build every thing from the scratch due to division and he would put the onus on it to help the State, the official added.

While maintaining good relations with Telangana, Mr.Naidu will focus his energies on securing support and help from the Centre to expedite the assurances given in AP Reorganisation Act. “Mr.Naidu is a very good negotiator. He has done his home work particularly related to power sector, infrastructure and manufacturing hubs. He will present his plans and seek Centre’s support,” he said.
