‘Naidu, Jagan shoulddrop out of CM’s race’

Power concentrated between two communities, says Chinta Mohan

Alleging that the power to run the State has been concentrated between two caste-based communities, former MP Chinta Mohan demanded that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Leader of Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy refrain from taking part in the race for the Chief Minister’s post.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Dr. Mohan said it was time the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) gave a chance to others hailing from different communities, in taking over the reins of the State.

“It is deplorable that Mr. Jagan, despite being accused of corruption charges, is organising a padayatra for becoming Chief Minister. As the idea behind padayatra is politically motivated, and not aimed at people’s welfare, he should stop the trek immediately. On the other hand, Mr. Naidu is bankrupting the State ,” he alleged.
