Naidu, Indra Nooyi to visit Sri City tomorrow

To decide on areas of collaboration between PepsiCo and government

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and PepsiCo Chairperson and CEO Indra Nooyi will decide on areas of collaboration between FMCG giant and government during their visit to PepsiCo plant at Sri City on April 3.

During his visit to Sri City, Mr. Naidu will also inaugurate 10 industrial units being set up with an investment of nearly Rs.1,000 crore and participate in ground-breaking ceremony of 11 others. Further to their meet in Davos, the Chief Minister and Ms. Nooyi will decide on areas of collaboration, according to a press release from Chief Minister’s office.

Mr. Naidu will take part in the ground-breaking ceremony of Rexam, Vermeiren, Cipy Pagel, KGI Clothing, Ayurvet, Brindco, Power Gas, Koncept Poly Pro, Be' Rollex, Beva Silicones and Godawari Udyog units.   Mr. Naidu will also inaugurate 10 industrial units in Sri City. They include Netherlands-based Hunter Douglas, which is setting up an industrial facility with a proposed investment of Rs 250 crore. USA-based Pharma West Pharma is setting up its facility with a proposed investment of Rs 150 crore. The other units are : China-based Electronics industry ZTT India Pvt Ltd , Japan-based Nippon Seiki’s Engineering facility, India-based Mohan Mutha Polytech’s Plastic Molding industry, Japan’s Kusakabe, an auto components-based industry, Singapore-based Vital Solutions Pvt Ltd’s Paper Processing unit. Mr. Naidu will also engage in an interactive session with business leaders. In the afternoon, he will meet N Vaghul, former Chairman of ICICI Bank, S.S. Badrinath, Chairman of Sri City Sankara Netralay, KM Cherian, Chairman, Sri City Frontier Lifeline Hospital and Nachiket Mor, Director of Central Board of RBI.
