Naidu, Indra Nooyi to visit PepsiCo facility at Sri City on April 3

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and PepsiCo Chairpeson and CEO Indra Nooyi will decide on areas of collaboration between FMCG giant and the Government during their visit to PepsiCo plant at Sri City on April 3.

During his visit to Sri City, Mr. Naidu will also inaugurate 10 industrial units being set up with an investment of nearly Rs.1,000 crore and participate in ground-breaking ceremony of 11 others.

Further to their meet in Davos, the Chief Minister and Ms. Nooyi will decide on areas of collaboration, according to a press release from Chief Minister’s office. The Chief Minister will take part in the ground-breaking ceremony of Rexam, Vermeiren, Cipy Pagel, KGI Clothing, Ayurvet, Brindco, Power Gas, Koncept Poly Pro, Be' Rollex, Beva Silicones and Godawari Udyog units.

After the ground breaking ceremony, Mr. Naidu will inaugurate 10 industrial units in Sri City. They include Netherlands-based Hunter Douglas, which is setting up an industrial facility with a proposed investment of Rs. 250 crore and expected to create employment for 300.

USA-based Pharma West Pharma is setting up its facility with a proposed investment of Rs 150 crore and provide jobs for 150 people.

The other units are : China-based Electronics industry ZTT India Pvt Ltd ( proposed investment Rs 100 crore, employment potential 250), Japan-based Nippon Seiki’s Engineering facility( proposed investment Rs 100 crore, employment potential 100), India-based Mohan Mutha Polytech’s Plastic Molding industry (proposed investment Rs 100 crore, employment potential 100), Japan’s Kusakabe, an auto components-based industry (proposed investment Rs 100 crore, an employment potential for 150), Singapore-based Vital Solutions Pvt Ltd’s Paper Processing unit ( proposed investment Rs 50 crore, employment potential for 50).

Warehousing facility

India-based Siddaratha Logistics is setting up a Warehousing facility with a proposed investment of Rs. 50 crores with an employment potential for 100, China-based engineering firm Chung Xing is setting up its facility with a proposed investment of Rs. 40 crores with an employment potential of 100 and India-based Artura Pharma is setting up its facility with a proposed investment of Rs 40 crores and expected create employment potential for 300 people.

The Chief Minister will also engage in an interactive session with business leaders. In the afternoon, he will meet Mr. N Vaghul, Former Chairman, ICICI Bank, Dr. S.S. Badrinath, Chairman, Sri City Sankara Nethralay, Dr. KM Cherian, Chairman, Sri City Frontier Lifeline Hospital and Dr. Nachiket Mor, Director, Central Board, RBI.

Later, the Chief Minister will participate in the 100 years celebrations of Italy-based steel major Danieli. He will also flag off Kobelco Cranes, first Export Grade Crane to South Asia.
