Leader of Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu has lambasted the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance Government at the Centre, alleging that it was responsible for the ‘uncertainty’ prevailing in the State over the issue of bifurcation.

He said that its actions over the issue had led to the current situation and that it was imperative for an all-party meeting to be convened immediately by the UPA to take stock of the situation and see what could be done on a crucial issue that was linked to the sentiment of people.

He was speaking after hoisting the national tri colour to mark the 65 year of Liberation of Hyderabad from Nizam’s rule. He recalled how the Hyderabad State got freedom 13 months after India got independence.

Addressing party cadres and leaders from the Telangana region, he also recalled how N.T. Rama Rao could be credited with liberating the people from the oppression of the ‘Patels’ and ‘Patwaris’ in the region.
