Mystery shrouds woman's death

Nirmala, 19, wife Narayanakhed fire officer, Yugandhar, died under suspicious circumstances. The incident took place at Mangalpet in Narayanakhed on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, both of them were married on April 4 at a temple by tribal leaders. Since then, they allegedly were quarrelling among themselves. On Thursday, Nirmala's body was found in the house where they were residing.

Her relatives allege that Yugandhar had killed her by forcing her to consume pesticide. The body was shifted to the government hospital for post-mortem. Police registered a case and are investigating.

Woman ‘kills' daughter

Nizamabad Staff Reporter writes: In a ghastly incident, a housewife, Hemalatha, allegedly killed her one-year-old daughter, Sridevi, by strangulating her at her home at Chintakunta village of Varni mandal late last night.

The accused along with her daughter has been living separately from her husband, Jagan, for the last one year. After killing her daughter, she shouted that her husband strangulated Sridevi to death. Suspicious of her, the neighbours questioned her and she reportedly confessed to her offence.
