April 22, 2015 12:00 am | Updated April 02, 2016 05:52 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

The mystery over the death of 29-year-old Ritu Sarin, the former air hostess, who died at a private hospital in Uppal on Sunday, continues.

Following allegations of murder, a team of doctors from Gandhi Medical College conducted repost-mortem examination on Tuesday. “It will take a few days for the doctors to give their opinion about the cause of death. Only after getting the reports we can say how she died,” DCP Malkajgiri, R Rama Rajeshwari said.

Meanwhile, the woman’s husband, Sachin, detained for questioning following the death told the police that on the fateful night he had a spat with Ritu over serving of biryani. “During the scuffle I pushed and hit Ritu while she also slapped me. I then went out for a smoke and when I returned I found her lying in an unconscious state,” Sachin told the police.
