Quite a change-considering that it was the same Mukul Roy who did not pay
heed to the PM's directive to visit an accident site in the North East .
Let/'s see some action on the ground Mr Roy-what are you doing to improve
the safety of the railways> Mere visits will not do. Won't be surprised if
we hear noises like these incidents are being engineered by the Maoists,
CPM and like minded parties with funding from Venezuela, Korea etc to
discredit the TMC!!!
Mamata Banerjee was allowed to put brakes on modernization of the railways.
The weak and corrupt politicians in the UPA didn't have guts to prevent Mamata from hijacking the agenda of railway safety.
Mukul Roy is excellent in being a loyal follower, and has joined the cabinet of Manmohan singh another loyal follower. This accident should easily have been avoided, if railways had updated their signaling.
Railway Ministers don't miss an opportunity to visit an accident site and demonstrate their benevolence by announcing one-time monetary compensation for those injured and killed and job to the next kin of the deceased. What surprises me is that no one cares to address the root of the problem. No amount of money can compensate for the loss of life and the pain suffered by those affected. By taking adequate preemptive actions in the form of upgrading railway security, employing latest technology and efficient manpower occurrence of accidents can be reduced substantially. But our politicians don't seem to get the point. Important railway projects have been either stalled or moving at a snail's pace owing to shortage of money. Yet ministers are loath to hike fair or take other fund-raising measures for fear of antagonizing the voters. Life will be back to normal. Mr. Roy will return to parliament and again torpedo any future move to resuscitate Indian Railways from its financial ailment.
In the past I read about train accidents but this one connects more
directly as I used to travel by this train. Personal experiences make
things make realistic and horrific in this case. With leaders like
Mamta Banarjee we are not going anywhere and poor people pay the price
with lives. Also sad to see ministers doing disaster tourism and
announcing petty cash to victims. Why not implement a insurance scheme
to passengers? politicos do not get the media attention if the insurance company pays?
Cars behind engine (and end of train) are of general class(cheaper
tickets), I think it is standard practice from British days. Lower the
income cheaper the life.
As a technology (or solution) head on collision prevention system
exists within railways from long time. No one is asking why this train
did not carry one. Media should cover more technical aspects of the
crash and follow the investigation and solution offered by railways.
This Puppet UPA government is reason for those who lost their life. Trivedi expressed concern about safety in railway. Almost A to Z you guys filling up your pockets with money provided for Public Schemes. Im sure congress will never going to win the parliament election. Railway Minister should resign right now if he is honest to his job and country. And every one knows he wont !
"Guilty wont be spared". This whole sentence makes me irritated. How can an
organization as big as INDIAN RAIWAY depend on the govt. alms for improving its
safety measures. We proudly say that we are at the epitome in Railway network.
But do we really stand anywhere if Railway's standard is concern, or the way we
deal with mishaps that come across our way. Who is going to take the
responsibility for the demise of several precious lives.
When can we see some steps are taken for the sake of people. Not just a
requirement for wooing voters. May God bless all the victims..
The Railways should ensure that the wards of the deceased are given pucca railway employment not in the out sourcing agencies attached to the Railways. Heart felt sympathies to those dead most of them are poor labourers
Another recent article showed a bus that burned completely; including, what appears to be, sections of the metal skin melting completely. I wonder if there are any reliable statistics on collision and fire safety features of our bus and rail coaches. For example, do they use fire retardant materials in constructing the interiors? How combustible are our buses and rail coaches? What are the required safety standards and how well are such standards actually implemented? Isn't it time some good tort lawyers really put the squeeze on the government and railway authorities?`
there are many lessons have learnt from this kind unusual incident but
so far no one is come up with technology which can provide safety of
the passenger. our politician is just making a budget and throwing
away from their daily task. the budget must be contained with new
technology, benefit and safe for passenger by adopting technology.
this kind of incident never comes in end by just announcing
compensation for their family. it is responsibility of Railway
department and minister who supposed to answer for this and culprit
should be removed from the service and also the compensation must be
paid just not from the government money and it should be from the
salary of railway minster and other executives those who are
responsible for this incident.
Mr. Roy is measuring the lives of the aam admi in the terms of money and thinking that the relatives of the decreased will be happy in working in the railways, which was the cause of the death of his loved ones. Actually it will be the cause of another such accident as that person will be uneducated in the field of railway technology and by his silly mistake there will be another such accident and yet another dozen of people like him will added in railway, and then you can think of the fate, what will happen next. Instead of this all things government can seek the problem and try to prevent it as fast as possible as this is becoming the habit of the aam admi to lose their relatives in the accidents like such.
This is all because of Mamata Banerjee's adamant attitude in not
modernising the railways. She should be accountable for all this tragedy. Wake up Didi from penny politics and leave the railway fiefdom
from your clutches. Mr Mukul Roy is advised not to go there and shed
crocodile tears.
Remember few months back, we had the railway budget where erstwhile
Rail Minister, Mr Trivedi raised the ticket prices because he thought
the railways were unsafe and needed revenue source to make the
railways safer.
It was our very own Mamtadidi who pulled him down explaining that
Trinamool by its very DNA cannot allow a hike in prices. This costed
us 22 precious lives today. Even more surprising is the fact that
anyone who even tries to question the autocratic rule, is labelled a
CPM cadet.
God bless Bengal for the remaining tenure of Mamta banerjee.
It's necessary to come here and show appearance of Mr.Roy. They all are
guilty for this incident. Its not enough to provide compensation to all
victim's family. Why do not they try to enhance the technology of
railway?
