Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught red-handed Putalapattu tahsildar (Mandal Revenue Officer) K. Sudhakaraiah when he was accepting ₹2 lakh bribe from a person in Chittoor district on Sunday.

The accused allegedly demanded the amount from the complainant, S. Madhu Sudharshan Reddy, of Allagadda for issuing a No Objection Certificate for a quarry at Kothakota village in Putalapattu mandal.

ACB sleuths trapped the MRO while taking the amount at his residence. He was taken into custody. He would be produced in the ACB court, said ACB Director-General R.P. Thakur.
