CPI(M) State secretary B.V. Raghavulu has suggested opposition leader N. Chandrababu Naidu to move no confidence motion against N. Kirana Kumar Reddy government in the coming Assembly session.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Mr. Raghavulu felt that last time Mr. Naidu might have supported the no confidence motion moved by other parties or the TDP itself moved the motion.

He said that if the same was happened, the Congress government, facing many charges, might have collapsed by this time and the State would have been free from corruption and other major problems.

The CPI(M) leader said that the government was thinking of holding Assembly session for nine days, which was not sufficient to discuss many burning issues including power crisis and corruption.

He demanded that the government order an enquiry into the online ticked booking scam in Vizianagaram circle of RTC, the native district of Transport Minister Botcha Satyanarayana. Mr. Raghavulu alleged that the Minister had been facing allegations on many issues including Volkswagen and liquor syndicate and it was the duty of the government to conduct a thorough probe on the fresh scam.

Speaking on his party activities, the CPI(M) leader said that the party was going to take up State-wide programme on June 5 on land related issues, particularly the government’s move to amend an Act that give facility to Revenue department to take back land allotted to the poor.

He demanded that the government first distribute 25,000 acres of Vanpic lands to the poor.

Basic amenities in schools

He also announced that the party groups will tour all the government schools in the State to prepare a report on basic amenities in these schools on June 17 and 18.

He alleged that the government had mortgaged High School and College Education to Corporate Educational Institutions that includes “China” (Chaitanya-Narayana) institutions.

Alliance with Lok Satta

Replying to a question, Mr. Raghavulu said that they were going to have an alliance with Lok Satta and other smaller parties in coming local body elections.

CPI(M) leaders Midiyam Babu Rao, T. Prakash and T.Arun also participated in the press conference.
