Telangana TDP (TTDP) senior leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu was suspended from the party for making serious allegations against its national president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday.

This was announced at the Mahanadu here by TTDP president L. Ramana, who took objection to Mr. Narasimhulu going to the extent of accusing Mr. Naidu of allegedly hijacking the party from his father-in-law N.T. Rama Rao and not giving due importance to the legendary actor’s descendants.

Addressing mediapersons, Mr. Ramana said the party leadership hoped that Mr. Narasimhulu would mend his ways but his conduct during the last six months, which reached a flash-point with his open criticism of Mr. Naidu during the NTR’s birth anniversary celebrations in Hyderabad, could no longer be tolerated as his comments were damaging the party’s reputation. It tarnished Mr. Naidu’s image.

‘Anti-party activities’

Mr. Ramana said Mr. Narasimhulu had been campaigning against the party and weakening it ever since his dream of becoming the governor of a State was shattered and he showed no remorse for launching a tirade against the party which gave him lot of importance and a high stature. Mr. Narasimhulu was gravitating to the TRS and even showered praises on K. Chandrasekhar Rao, he said.
