A 55-year-old mother allegedly killed her alcoholic son and later buried the body inside their house at Kasireddynagar on the outskirts of Kanigiri town in Prakasam district on Tuesday night.
Kanagiri Sub-Inspector Sk. Teresa Firoz on Wednesday said Sivashankar (35) used to torture his mother and wife after consuming liquor. Upset with him, Sivashankar’s wife had gone back to her parents in Kandukur.
As repeated efforts to mend him failed, his mother Narasamma axed him to death when he was sleeping, the SI added.
Police registered a case under IPC Sections 302 (murder) and 201(causing disappearance of evidence) and summoned forensic experts from Ongole to exhume the body.
