More teeth to forest, police acts soon: IGP

Inspector General of Police (Rayalaseema) V. Venugopala Krishna on Sunday said that proposals to amend the acts pertaining to Forest and Police Departments to tackle the red sanders smuggling in Rayalaseema were under process with the State Chief Secretary .

Speaking at the valedictory of a seminar on red sanders smuggling here Sunday, the IGP said it had been almost finalised to form a sophisticated task force. District Judge K.V. Vijaya Kumar called for brining awareness on the smuggling activity.
