Accusing Kadapa Collector K.V. Ramana of being anti-Dalit, YSRC MLA T. Jayaramulu and Kadapa Zilla Parishad Guduru Ravi on Tuesday said that they would move the A.P. High Court, Lok Ayukta and Scheduled Castes Commission against the Collector.
Addressing a media conference, Mr. Jayaramulu flayed the Collector for belittling Dalit leaders like him. Mr. Ravi lamented that the Collector had been insulting him time and again ever since he was elected ZP Chairman.
When developmental issues were being discussed in the second ZP meeting on January 4, the Collector made an announcement directing the officials to leave the meeting hall, lowering the dignity of the ZP, he alleged.
The officials left the meeting without heeding his appeals, the ZPChairman said. He charged ZP Chief Executive Officer D. Malyadri of siding with the Collector ignoring his orders. When officials left the meeting, he adjourned the meeting and announced that it would be held on Tuesday, but none of the officials turned up on Tuesday, he said.
the ZPChairman charged the Collector with pressurising officials not to heed his instructions.
Jammalamadugu MLA C. Adinarayana Reddy charged the Collector with acting at will and belittling the ZP chairman as he was a Dalit. Woman ZPTC members Desai Saradamma (Porumamilla), Anasuyamma (Lingala), Lakshmi Devi (Galiveedu) and Rajeswaramma (Kodur) condemned the attitude of the Collector and ZP CEO and accused them of toeing the line of TDP leaders.
The ZPTC members faulted the Collector for directing officials to leave when members were discussing the sand quarrying issue and termed it a bid to insult the ZP chairman.
