Telugu Desam Party leader and former MLA from Giddalur Anna Rambabu had a miraculous escape when his car was hit by a van at Gotlagatta, near Podili in Prakasam District late on Wednesday night.
The former Praja Rajyam party MLA escaped with simple injuries when his car driver applied sudden brake to avoid hitting a dog, leading to rear-end collision with the van. Both the vehicles overturned, Special Branch Deputy Superintendent of Police Rayapatti Srinivas said.
The TDP leader was coming to Ongole when the mishap occurred, the DSP added.
