Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas has ordered that door-to-door surveys should be done wherever there are suspected cases of dengue and malaria to identify the root causes.
Addressing officers and staff of the Health Department through video-conference on seasonal ailments here, along with Principal Secretary Poonam Malakondaiah on Wednesday, Mr. Srinivas said people could now be assured of the best of services at the Chief Minister’s Health Centres (CMHC) where MBBS doctors would always be available and telemedicine facility was provided with the involvement of specialist doctors.
Earlier, the State had 212 Urban Health Centres (UHCs) and 222 CMHC were established. The CMHCs have no holidays and have the infrastructure for conducting 28 types of diagnostic tests.
The Minister suggested to the Municipal Commissioners to get banners tied at important places to let people know about the CMHC. The number of out-patients approaching the CMHC registered a 10 % increase from 70 % to 80 % and a collective effort should be made to improve it further.
