MIM confident of getting votes of minorities, Dalits

March 25, 2014 11:51 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 10:37 pm IST - NIZAMABAD:

Majlis Ithehadul Muslimeen MP Asaduddin Owaisi has said that Muslim minorities, Dalits and Backward Communities will create a new history in Telangana by electing their candidates in the general elections to be held on April 30.

“We will all form a common platform to fight the election united and defeat anti-people elements. Congress and TRS are trying to get votes of minorities and the oppressed sections in the name of secularism and poverty respectively. Let us all be cautious and ensure the victory only to our candidates”, he said in his campaign in civic body elections here on Tuesday.

Addressing a public meeting at Quilla Road, Mr. Owaisi said that the successive governments neglected Muslims and Congress and TRS also did not do anything to them. Therefore, they should be defeated in the elections, he said.

He toured division number 13, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31, 32, 37 and 38. Some SC and ST youth joined the MIM in his presence on the occasion.
