The medical team to perform the post-mortem will be nominated by the Principal of Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad. The bodies are of Murugan, Murthy, Mahendran, Perumal and Munuswamy.
The bench was dealing with a case filed by family members of the deceased. The bodies and of Sasikumar are at Tiruvenveli. Making allegations against the police, the petitioners sought a second post-mortem. A second post-mortem was ordered on Thursday on Sasikumar’s body. Additional Advocate General of AP, D. Srinivas said the reports of the first post-mortem would be submitted to the court and after perusing them, further order could be passed. The Principal of Osmania Medical College will nominate the team of experts which will go to Tiruvenveli.
ST panel chief’s visit
Ravi Thakur, Chairperson of the National Commission of Scheduled Tribes on Friday visited the spot in Seshachalam hills, where the alleged encounter took place last week. Mr. Thakur decided to have a look at the spot to take note of possible violation of human rights. He will address the media on Saturday.
