Justice Nooty Ramamohana Rao on Friday made it clear that all the applications submitted to respective private medical colleges till 5 p.m. on July 25 will be included in the merit list, based upon which the admissions be made to MBBS seats in management quota.

The list forwarded shall be scrutinised by the NTR University of Health Sciences and approved before July 31 and admission shall be made from this list as per merit.

The university was directed to prepare wait list of 15 students who will be considered for seats which fall vacant. The judge said that the writ petitioners who get admissions in this process will have to substantiate all the allegations made in the writ petitions, otherwise there is a chance of losing the seat. The authorities were faulted for this present crisis.

The judge was passing the interim orders in a batch of 30 writ petitions filed by students. The judge had directed the managements to issue applications and receive the same.

The cases will be listed on August 19 and the petitioners who cannot substantiate the allegations will run the risk of losing the seats.
