Ashtalakshmi temples in Vizinagaram and Srikakulam wore a festive look with the offering of special prayers on the occasion of auspicious second ‘Sravana Sukravaram.’ Sri Varalakshmi Vratam was performed in the temples. Purohits explained the importance of the Goddess of Wealth to the devotees.
Sri Kshetram chairman Durga Balaji said ‘Mana Intiki Mahalakshmi programme’ was started to enable the devotees of Vizianagaram to offer special prayers at their homes. He said the goddess’ idol would be sent to the devotees’ homes seeking divine blessing for the families.
According to him, Ashtalakshmi Stotram, Sri Suktam, Kanakadhara Stotram, Maha Lakshmi Ashtakam and Lalita Parayanam wouldl be held as part of the ‘Mana Intiki Maha Lakshmi’ programme.
“The programmehelps every family to get satisfaction and happiness with the offering of special prayers in their homes on a par with Sri Kshetram located in Ayyananpeta of Vizianagaram,” Mr. Balaji added.
