Man held on charge of raping daughter

G. Ilaiah, 45, a commission agent of Jammikunta market yard, was arrested on the charge of raping his daughter since the last two years.

Though the girl was being harassed sexually by her father since two years, the incident came to light only on Wednesday when his daughter lodged a complaint with the Jammikunta police, who arrested Ilaiah. Jammikunta CI D Bhoomaiah said that Ilaiah had married thrice.

The first wife’s daughter, 19, is a degree second year student in Hanamkonda. After the death of his first wife, he married another woman, who divorced him soon due to harassment.

He married for the third time through whom he has a 10-year-old daughter. He used to beat up his third wife frequently and threaten her.

In the complaint to the police, Ilaiah’s daughter said that the accused took her to Hyderabad on the pretext of getting his wife’s eye ailment treated and raped her in the lodge where they were put up.

To be booked under Nirbhaya Act

Unable to bear the mental agony, she lodged a complaint against her father. The CI said that they may register a case under Nirbhaya Act.
