A man surrendered before the police on Tuesday after allegedly killing the two sons of his “girlfriend” and throwing the bodies into the Polavaram canal.

According to the Koyyalagudem police, Kaikavarapu Ravi Sankar, 32, of Dippakayalapadu village allegedly developed a relationship with his cousin’s wife about a year ago. She, however, stopped entertaining him a few months ago.

On Monday, Ravishankar reportedly took her two sons, Kaikavarapu Prasanth, 10, and his younger brother Vickey, 7, to Venkataramannagudem on his motorcycle without their parents’ knowledge. In the evening, the parents lodged a complaint with the police stating that their two sons were missing.

On Tuesday, Ravi Sankar surrendered before the Koyyalagudem police and allegedly confessed to the police that he had developed grudge on the woman and that he had killed her two sons and threw the bodies in the canal. The bodies were fished out from the canal at Gopalapuram.
