Women members of Mala Mahanadu staged a rally carrying brooms in Nandyal town on Monday demanding a CBI inquiry into alleged grabbing of lands of Dalits by YSRCP candidate Silpa Mohan Reddy.

Protest

Sweeping the roads as a mark of protest, Mala Mahanadu State secretary Nallanna and women’s wing president Bandi Salamma appealed to the voters to elect the TDP candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy and defeat Mr. Mohan Reddy to teach a lesson to YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Voters should back the TDP to ensure development of Nandyal, he said.

The government was implementing schemes for the welfare of Dalits, girijans, Muslims and Christians, Ms. Salamma asserted.

Mr. Nallanna slammed Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy for making intemperate remarks against Mr. Naidu.

Mala Mahanadu members Y.C. Pullaiah, Bandi Devanthakudu, Nakka Nagesh and Lakshminarayana took part in the programme.
