Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy on Sunday asked officials to make foolproof arrangements for the Krishna Pushkarams slated from August 12.

“Make arrangements in a planned manner and ensure that no untoward incident happens,” Mr. Krishnamurthy said at a training programme organised for officials and staff drafted for the pushkaram duty in Chandravathi kalyana mantapam at Srisailam.

District Collector Ch. Vijayamohan told the officials and staff to discharge their duties diligently without giving scope for complacency. The staff must be wary as water flow was intense at the bathing ghats due to inflows from the upstream areas.

DIG of Kurnool Range B.V. Ramana Kumar advised the revenue and police officials and staff to work in tandem. He told the staff to be alert as the country was facing terrorist threats.

Kurnool SP A. Ravikrishna urged the people to alert the police in case they find anything amiss.

Srisailam temple Executive Officer Narayhana Bharath Gupta, district officials, and staff participated.

Later, the Deputy Chief Minister inspected the pushkar ghats.
