Machilipatnam MP promises better infrastructure in villages

Public representatives accompanied by Krishna district officials promised development of infrastructure in rural pockets of Machilipatnam Assembly constituency during their one-day padayatra on Sunday.

During his interaction with the people including women, Machilipatnam MP Konakalla Narayana prepared a list of the issues that needed to be addressed immediately.

“Better road and drainage connectivity in villages are the immediate task to make the habitation smart,” said Mr. Narayana.

The MP, along with Machilipatnam MLA and Excise and B.C. Welfare Minister K. Ravindra walked for nearly 12 kilometres between Chinnapuram village and Machilipatnam town and campaigned in favour of the government’s motto to improve living standards through the concept of ‘Smart village/ward and Smart Andhra Pradesh’.

Mr. Ravindra reiterated that the Central government had already included Machilipatnam town in the ‘smart town’ programme and the town would see a rapid changes in availability of basic amenities. The group of leaders also explained in brief about the Telugu Desam Party’s measures to give a fillip to the villages.
