‘Loan without bank linkage likely’

Allocation increased to ₹600 crore

A.P. Backward Classes Cooperative Finance Corporation chairman B. Ranganayakulu on Tuesday said revival of Aadarana scheme and direct loaning by various corporations to beneficiaries without bank linkage are on the cards.

Addressing a meeting with leaders of various caste organisations here, he said proposals would be forwarded to the government to disburse loans directly to beneficiaries without insisting on bank accounts.

The government enhanced the budgetary outlay for the BC Corporation from ₹75 crore to ₹600 crore and allocated ₹8,632 crore under the BC Sub-Plan, he said. A.P. Salivahana Corporation chairman Tuggali Nagendra said the government allocated funds ranging from ₹30 crore to ₹50 crore to various federations to economically empower artisans.
